00, 000 Namonuito Atlas, also known as Namonweito, Weito or Magur Islands, is the biggest of the Federated States of Micronesia and the Caroline Islands with a surface area of 2,267 sq. km, unless one regards the even bigger Chuuk (Truk) lagoon as a kind of Atlas in an early phase of evolution.

The Kwajalein Atoll of the Marshall Islands is the only one bigger in Micronesia. The Namonuito Atoll is located in the Oksoritod of Chuuk State, the biggest state of the Federated States of Micronesia, about 170 kilometers north-west of Chuuk Lagoon (measured from the island of Pisaras to the north and west part of the Chuuk Lagoon's fringe reef).

It' about three-sided, the basis runs 82 kilometers (51 miles) along the south side. Its south-western edge is defined by the island of Ulul, the island with the most population. Most of the other islands are on the north-eastern side, from the island of Pisaras in the south-eastern edge to the island of Magur (Makur) in the northern edge.

There are 12 islands with a total area of only 4.5 sqkm. Most of the edge of the coral cliff is immersed and is characterized by the brighter color of the overwater. Depth at the shore ranges from 0.9 to 18.3 meters (2 ft 11.4 inch to 60 ft 0.5 inch).

It seems to be under construction and can be traversed in many places. Apart from a 5.5 meter (18.0 feet) long spot 22 kilometers (14 miles) due to the western side of the island of Pisaras and a free-standing 2.7 to 3.7 meter (8 foot 10 inch to 12 foot 2 inch) deep cliff about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Pisaras, there seems to be a deepness of more than 9 meters (30 feet) on the dispersed reefs of the Laguna.

On the island of Pisaras grow palm cocos and other saplings.
