outward journey
Nuqui is a small town on the Pacific coastline. Although the town is a bit inconspicuous, it enjoys a breathtaking environment, which is the actual purpose of the town. The luxuriant rainforest stretches along the unspoilt Pacific coastline beach, which is practically undeveloped for tourist activities. Nuqui is the perfect place to relax and unwind away from it all.
It' a divine heaven on the planet, broad black sand dunes, innumerable shrimps scurrying along the way and with the Pacific on one side and thick lush littoral rain forest on the other. Nuquí has no large "all-inclusive" cement hotel anywhere else in the game.
The Pacific coastline retains a lot of exclusiveness, not only because it is off the well-trodden paths, but also because of the restricted accessibility of accommodations and the absence of flight routes to compete with. Visiting Nuquí comes with a free of charge fee. However, how much did the tranquility, silence and beautifulness that can only be found in Nuquí be?
Whenever you are in the middle of your own privacy, you can awaken and walk undisturbed on a apparently secluded sandy shore, take a fresh bath in your own sea or just sit back in a mini-mat and watch your own sundown. They are about 45 mins from Nuquí and provide a maximum of cleanliness, tranquility and serenity.
To make your day even more enjoyable, you can also include a variety of outdoor recreational and leisure facilities in your itinerary. Walks along the beach to two small towns Termales and Aruzí, a boating tour or visiting the Cascada de Amor with lie in the rainforest of the south. El Cantil is specialized in windsurfing and scuba-dive, and it is encircled by a number of "hot spots" such as Pico de Loro, PelaPela and Juan Tornillo.
Those places are accessible by ferry and when you get there you will have the sea to yourself. Make sure you have torches and battery, as Nuquí has little output. Tip: The restaurant's meals are tasty and the restaurant's employees make daily freshwater seafood, cooked in traditional cuisine.
From Quibdo or Medellín the flight leads to the runway of Nuquí. In Nuquí you will be picked up by El Cantil Lodge personnel and taken by ferry to your shelter. The area is perfect for families as a truly secluded forays.
It is also perfect for youngsters who want to make the most of Nuquí's sportsmanship. However, the primary purpose of going to Nuquí is its godly isolation, just to sit on the patio of your own cabin, relax, read a textbook or listen to the sound of the sea and the rainforest.
