Retrospect: Phoenomenal North Island Seychelles

I had a fantastic vacation last October in the Seychelles, the mythical island of extraordinary exotic Indian Ocean scenery. A look back at the North Island of Seychelles. The North Island of Seychelles is the most exlusive hiding place in the whole wide open space I have ever seen. This stunningly stunning island retreat has only 11 sumptuous handmade mansions, all with their own diving pools, with views of the untouched, powder-white sand and blue water of the Ile Du Nord eco-reserve.

It is impertinently designed to provide the best in terms of personal freedom, locations, accommodation, service, amenities and expertise. A favourite of the world's top chefs, the ultra-pluxury resort immediately achieved global renown in 2011 when it made the Prince William and Kate news as a regal honeymoon getaway destinations. The North Island of Seychelles is among my top 10 best deluxe Seychelles destinations, the most exquisite privately owned island destinations in the entire Seychelles, the most amazing African seaside destinations, the best deluxe properties in the entire African continent, the most costly worldwide hotel, the best honeymoon destinations in the hemisphere and my most spectacular 2016 itinerary.

The North Island is the sacred treasure of deluxe travelling. Seychelles is a deluxe seaside destination that is years away from what any other seaside destination in the Seychelles but around the globe has to offer. The North Island is almost mythic in its fascination, with a whispering, oral call as the world's most sole hiding place among its affluent people.

Situated on a privately owned island about 30 km from the major island of Mahé. The North Island is the most northerly of the 115 indigenous archipelagos of the Seychelles. This large island is about 2.5 km long and 0.8 km broad and provides absolute intimacy and wonderful seclusion.

In spite of its remoteness on the island, it is very simple to reach the reserve by heliwagon. Zil Air chopper ride to North Island starts from Seychelles International Airport on Mahé and the exciting 20-minute trip takes you across the Indian Ocean's blue water, arriving at the resort's own landing pad.

You can also get to the resorts by boot if your flight in a chopper makes you feel anxious (as I did during my journey to the island). This cruise includes a 40-minute shuttle to Silhouette Island, followed by a 20-minute drive on the North Island's own personal limo. This shamelessly breathtaking and breathtaking natural wonder of the island of granites is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen in the tropics.

The bright-blue North Island shores (see below) are encircled by the blue Indian Ocean water and line a lush interiors of palm groves and tacamaka tree formations between three granitic rocks. Don't miss the 1 hr walk to the spectacular panoramic point of view over the resort, from where you can enjoy the island's majesty from a bird's view.

The island's key attraction are the spectacular sandy spots, which are among the most stunning I have ever entered. A glossy sandy band stretching almost the whole length of the island's rising sun, the island's principal strand, Atse d'Est is discretely embedded in the arbor.

On the west side of the island there are two even nicer beaches: Sundowners can enjoy Sunset in the north (where a traditional pub is the ideal backdrop for a sunset dinner while the sand is washing in the pastels after sunset) and Honeymoon Strand in the South.

This latter must be one of the most beautiful in the world, thanks to its secluded position in a rocky outcrop. The North Island has a noteworthy story. Between 1826 and the 70s, the island was used as a orchard for the cultivation of fruits and herbs, as well as for the production of Guanos, Fishoil and Cobra.

Following the collapse of the Kopra supermarket, the estate was closed in the 70s and the North Island was no longer in use. In 1997, a new era in the North Island's development began when the island was bought by a group - Africa's premier liveaboard operator, Wilderness Safaris - which turned back the clock by reversing man-made losses, establishing a reserve for the native fauna of the Seychelles and developed the world's premier privately owned island hideout.

In addition to its astonishing position, the North Island is characterised by a classy style of discreet luxuries that celebrate it. Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens and their two kids were living there while they designed and created the complex to get a true feeling for the island. Seychellois, and craftspeople from Africa, handmade from timber, native rock and glazing, with straw roofing to complement the splendid designs.

On the Piazza, the hotel's common areas are grouped around a splendid almond tree in the south-eastern edge of Anse d'Est beach. With the ground plan of the common areas - lounges, bars, dining rooms, libraries, boutiques and diving centres - it is reminiscent of a small island town with historic stratification.

Near the lounges are the libraries and diving centers, which are accommodated in genuine blocks of corals, which originate as coppra plantations from the time of the North Island. Though there is a small reception and area for concierges, the resorts lack a official one. Situated on one of the three granite rocks on the island, the resort's magnificent indoor and outdoor pools are just a few minutes away from the main city.

Though hidden in luxuriant rainforest, the swimming pools offer beautiful views of the dazzling beaches and Indian Ocean's blue water. The North Island has eleven palace-like mansions, all of which offer immediate entry to the beautiful Anse d'est beaches. You are lifted more than one metre above the floor to capture the island breeze.

Every mansion (except mansion 11, see below) has two air-conditioned bedrooms: an unbelievably large main room and a second room that can be converted into a work room. They all have an open plan living room (with couch and dinner table), an adjacent kitchen area (including a mini bar, which must be the most generously proportioned in the world), an outside swimmingpool and a covered saloon (to unwind in the shadow when it is too warm for outside activities), and a large outside terrace floating above the huge gardens, and an amazingly nice semi-outdoor bathhouse with the size and feeling of an ultra luxurious bathhouse.

A mansion known as Mansion 11 or Mansion North Island is different from the other ten mansions. It was not only redesigned to fit the slope along the extremely north side of Anse d'est Beach, it is also more of a resorts within the resorts breathtaking 750m2.

Much of this room has been added in several stepped planes that cascade down the granite rocks to the sea, with scenic palm trees providing a pristine setting. It is the ultimative beadvilla of the class for wedding-travellers. Every North Island mansion has its own electrical gulf stroller that allows you to move around the island.

There are also bikes for guests, both adults and kids, to get from one side of the island to the other with the greatest of difficulty. Situated on a cliff above the swimming pools with views of turbid water and spectacular crags. We have only three rooms for treatments, each in an exquisite design pavillon.

Professionals at the Resorts use the island's own botanical extracts in their work. When you arrive, all our clients are given a free 30-minute walk, legs and back massages that relieve the stress of the trip and allow them to smoothly enter island modes. This gymnasium is located above the swimming pools next to the thermal baths and is equipped with state-of-the-art exercise facilities.

It' a plain glas construction with an algae cover and has one of the most amazing vistas of the island. He looks out over the cove in front of Anse d'est beach and delights in the stunning view of the different blues of the Seychelles.

On the North Island, as you would think, the meals are of extraordinary nutrition. It is a gastronomic event that lives up to its name. The day meals are prepared according to the latest island crop and tailored to your nutritional needs. In addition to the meals in the room, there are two restaurants on the island, which are suitable for various gastronomic adventures at will.

A candlelight dinner in the lounge with the soft sound of the sea provides the backdrop for a relaxing and relaxing time. West Beach Bars serve crispy, warm pizzas, lettuce and grilled tappas which are all great to share while watching the sun set and enjoying a drink and relaxing soundtrack.

After a brief stroll across the lake, outside the central restaurant, you will find the magnificent winery, a rocky structure and an almost stalagmic roof made of balustrade formwork, a technology found on the island of Mahé. This winery is home to the most extensive range of Indian Ocean quality Indian Ocean wineries, meticulously chosen by a cellarman to compliment the North Island's unmistakable cuisines.

Staying on the North Island will put you in the shoes of many celebrities, because the place is a favourite of the world's top names and has a loyal following among the A-lists. The Prince William and Duchess Kate of Cambridge lived 10 nights on the North Island after their marriage in April 2011.

It was also the setting for the Hollywood stars George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's 2014 Aman Venice flitter. In 2009 David and Victoria Beckham were celebrating their tenth marriageday. Salma Hayek, the famous German actor, and Francois-Henri Pinault, the famous Franciscan man, also went to the North Island on their honeymoons.

Seychelles is part of the world's longest system of reefs and has some of the best divesites in the game. A number of locations have been found around the North Island and its closest neighbor, Silhouette Island. The North Island has its own base and the instructors are not only expert in the practice but also in the marine wild.

Snorkelling around North Island and Silhouette Island is also available if you are not feeling well. Snorkelling and scubaiving on the North Island are part of the room price. It is home to a wholesome populace of huge aldabran turtles, often seen along the sand trails that cross the island.

Brutus is the most popular turtle on the island. The North Island provides an all-inclusive formulation. It also includes snorkelling, canoeing, biking, hiking, guided tours, half-day angling and all laundries and Wi-Fi as well as the use of an island gulf push-bar. Though most of the North Island visitors are couple and honeymooner, the place is also a great place to discover and relax as a group.

Decorative work was carried out on North Island in 2014, with the introduction of a new range of colours and design bath taps to ensure that North Island remains the worldwide benchmark for luxurious hiding places on islets. On the North Island there are more than twice as many employees as visitors, and each mansion has its own builder who provides excellent services.

The kindness, expertise and cordiality of the employees, which I witnessed during my two nights on the island, enchanted me very much. Engineered to make the most of unspoilt nature, North Island provides the luxurious journey experiences of fabulous sandy shores, impeccable services, exquisite dining, stylish designs and Palace-like shelters.

The North Island is heaven on earth, but you still want to know what to consider when staying here: North Island is one of the most pricey destinations in the word, even though it's hard to say it doesn't have value for your money. That'. This is a nature on the North Island, the shores wander in an incessant seasons altogether, which is determined by the sea current.

However, all are always welcoming, and their position around the island means that no matter in which direction the sea breeze blows, you will find a protected, shaded place to soak up. Residential diving basins of the mansion are rather small for a small size and not suitable for a round.

This should not be a big issue, as you can bathe in the welcoming hot water of the Indian Ocean in front of every mansion or just breathe a few chills in the lovely community swimming pools. Sav money: Find my advice for the best deals in a luxurious destination like North Island Seychelles.

The Seychelles are often marketed as a year-round tourist resort, and it is. It can be stormy (seaweed on the southern or south-eastern side of the islands) with harsh sea during the arid season (May to September).
