New Zealand South Island must do
South Island New Zealand must do itSouth Island New Zealand attractions you need to see on your New Zealand Highway Tour.
With 3 other companions we attacked the South Island of New Zealand with a motorhome. When you know the term motorhome new, a motorhome is a self-contained caravan in which you ride, boil, eat, rest and sometimes shit (if you really have to). Of course this does not include fuel costs, but I don't think you can find a better offer elsewhere, considering that we are eating, sleeping and moving south in this one.
In this article you will find the detailled costs of our New Zealand trip: Detailled New Zealand budget travel $2600 for 20 workdays! New Zealand streets are really simple to use. I only got my driver's licence a whole week before I hit the streets in New Zealand, so if I say it's simple, it really is.
Perhaps the most difficult journeys are the curvy ones on the way to Queenstown (above) or during the journey through snows. Otherwise, most streets are just with slight curves. Read more about New Zealand in another article. Planning our journey through the South had been a great challenge, as it included several goals and a lot of research.
In the south there was so much to do and to see that the only limitation was due to wind and rain. Without your own car you can almost not drive through the south of New Zealand, because coach operators do not drive to all the scenic places. Whilst the speed of your journey and the priority of each individual may vary, there are certain southern tourist sites that you cannot miss without a certificate because the places of interest are breathtaking.
Above you can see an overlook of the whole tour, which we covered in 10 full day. We are now bringing you 19 of the best and most unforgettable places in the South. On a north-south tour within the South Island we started our trip in Christchurch. It'?s a city that looks a bit like Fox.
Our tour was on Fox Glacier, but we did the FaceWalk Terminal (a free stroll at the foot of the glacier) with Franz Josef. For more information on how to get to the terminals, see See New Zealand's glacier for free! Among the greatest climaxes was the trek on this impressive ice sheet!
At my station, Walking on Ice at Fox Glacier, New Zealand, my whole experience of walking and biking on this beautiful mountain range is a pleasure. Living at Fox glacier for a good 4 month, I had a lot of opportunities to see this very favourite photographic site. On the other hand is almost everywhere in New Zealand!
Some of New Zealand's most stunning images are photographed by her. Featuring over 48,000 trailers on Instagram, it's evidence that their food will make you want to travel in New Zealand. This is NOT for you if you are looking for an easier walk. Here in May the foliage seems to have more color than elsewhere in the south.
When I went into the city' s centre, there seemed to be more business, more poeple, more life. Here the stores are closed after 22 o'clock, in contrast to smaller cities in the south, which are closed after 18 o'clock. Admittedly, Queenstown is probably the most costly city in South New Zealand, as it is here that most tourism features are located.
Please be aware that some owners do not work in winters. On my second return journey to Te Anau with my folks, I worked with David Cary, who specializes in small group trips that show the beautiful things about Te Anau - yes, there is more to see than Milford Sound.
Such a long journey to the Milford Sound of Te Anau and back - but this former tobacco-turned cow meat grower chatted ceaselessly about New Zealand policy and birdlife. There is no better place to begin than New Zealand if you like taking pictures. On the way walking the Hooker Valley Trail.
A visit to New Zealand in cold weather has its own landscape to admire! When I haven't already said it, it is raining VERY MORE in New Zealand. Whilst we were out in May (the beginning of winter), New Zealand's summers would still demand that you get dressed up warmly, especially when it gets dark.
As we were near winters, it was raining unusually much and they were implacable. The Lake Tekapo is the site of New Zealand's leading science observation facility, the Mt John Observatory. As we arrived at Tekapo, it came down on a dark rainy day (the chance of a clear skies in cold winters is low!), so we took a picture of the Good Shepherd's Church in natural light instead!
When we thought we were going to leave New Zealand without seeing a Milky Way, let alone the Southern Lights, we started the Milky Way in the most unusual place - Christchurch! Leave Christchurch City at 12 noon at noon and drive an hours drive out of the city to Birdlings Flat just to take this picture.
Although we were stationed in Christchurch for 5 nights before we flew to Melbourne, and although it is not the most eventful city (most New Zealand stores near 5am), we were able to organize some daily excursions outside of Christchurch. Scheduling a New Zealand tour can be painful and timeconsuming.
