Class Jonathan Richard Clement was pronounced deceased on July 31 at UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest the next Sunday after an extra gas cylinder was cut off from an HH-60H Seahawk and hit him and another PETTIMECO. Naval Safety Center announced the incident on the mornings of August 6 and merely pointed out that the chopper crews had carried out a "hot seat" workout at the extensive airfield at the time of the incident.
"It was an extra petrol cell that carried more than 1,500 pounds," said Commander Ron Flanders, spokesperson for the Navy Air Force. When Clement, 31, was hunted to the Hillcrest ER because it was the next Tier I Dream Centre to North Island and his familiy was flew to San Diego to be at his side, Flanders added.
Flemish authorities said that after the disaster that happened around 6:30 pm on 30 July, there was no plane on the ground. As a rule, hotspit, hot beat is performed in such a way that the crew can practise getting out of an airplane without having to switch off the missions. Crew members fill up quickly, check the plane, exchange drivers or other staff and return it to the skies as quickly as possible.
