North Island Robert is found in woodland and bush habitat. This is a local population, especially men, who live in 1-5 ha of forests on the land throughout their lifes. Men are great singers, especially young men, who sing loud and often for many moments. Wherever redbreasts are frequently abandoned, e.g. on open paths, they become very trusting and often approach a quietly seated individual up to one meter away.

North Island male robin show retarded feather ripening, with the feathers darkening with each of the first 2-3 years. Independent male are pale gray or deep gray, like female. The second moulting period is 19-22 month, when most of the male species reach their mature colour (mostly deep grey-black), but a small part lasts another year before they turn darkish, and a few seem to stay deep gray for their whole life.

Male dogs brood successfully whether they are bright gray (< 12 month old), darkgrey or darkblack. The contours of many North Island robin have faded sheaths, which gives the genus its slightly striped outfit. Northern Island robin have four recognizable vocalizations. The Fullsong is a set of words that are only given out loud by men, usually by a high grouper.

You can hear robin's all year round, but especially during the incubation period. It' used to indicate the territory occupation and draw a partner - Bachelor couples spends much more quality energy chanting than mated men. Related species: There is no similar variety as the robins in the North Island Forests.

The redbreast is limited to the main North Island from Taranaki to the Bay of Plenty, Little Barrier and Kapiti Islands. There can be gaps in Rob's dispersion even within large boulders of ripe jungle. Comparing the results of the Ornithological Society of New Zealand's Atlantic Chart from 1969-79 and 1999-2004 shows that the North Island Robin's dispersion on the North Island has hardly altered during the 20 year period.

Due to translocation, however, their spread has been improved by the settlement of population on some pest-free isles and in pest-controlled continental areas. The robin can be found in ripe forests, high bushes and tropical orchards, especially those that are quite ripe and have bushes as undergrowth. Once spread across the North Isle, robin are now mainly confined to large woodland boulders in the middle of the isle.

Couples have areas of 1-5 ha, although population can appear on pest-free isles with much higher density (0.2-0.6 ha / pair). The clearing of arable land in the nineteenth and twentieth century led to the extinction of the habitats of the North Island robins. Consequently, the population is judged to be masculine. Wherever insect repellent is used, the population increases quickly and the gender balance reverts to almost 1:1 within a few years - there are usually a few more men than women.

Northern Island robin nests from September. Females build nests and females feed 2-3 time per h. As soon as the Nestlinge are more than 5 Tage old, the males bring along all nourishment to its brood and not to its companions. Mexican robin are local all year round, although their aggressiveness towards invaders is dampened during moulting.

Men predominate their companions during the non-breeding period, so that couple members are usually found separately. After the successful escape of a breed (males feed the young birds) and after the robbery of birds such as chickens or mammals. They use a wide range of activity to rinse concealed or disguised loot, such as shaking their feet, flapping their wings and flapping their tails.

Rotkehlchen spends much of the day on the floor, while they search in high woods also over logs and knots, above all those, which are coated with Epiphyten, like moss. This is an exploratory analysis of the feeding accumulation by robin of the North Island (Petroica Australianis longipes). The retarded feather ripening enhances the robin's chances of surviving on the North Island.
