Ascenion Islands's Comfortless Cove - clear sky, clear sea and clear sandy beach. The Ascencion Island is a 91 square kilometer large volcano island in the Southern Atlantic Ocean, which is part of the Saint Helena area. It' 2,250 km (1,400 miles) from the eastern shore of Latin America and 1,600 km (990 miles) from the west bank of Africa.

It has no native people and was first mentioned by the portugese seafarer Alfoso of Albuquerque on Ascencion Day 1503 - the Catholics feast after which he called it.
