Molokai to Lanai Ferry

Sulokai to Lanai Ferry

In the second year we took the ferry to Lanai, which gave us more comfort and control over the clock. Is it Molokai or Lanai for today? Hello everyone, we are in September on Lahaina, Maui. It will be our third trip and we will explore the possibilities to either Molokai or Lanai for the time being.

In October we flown to Molokai during a two-week stopover on Maui, but we flown there and back (from OGG). We were told that the crossings from Maui to Molokai are very harsh, so we decided to travel - and the costs for flights and ferries were almost the same.

This was a great exploration date (with a rented car), but I don't think it's a good choice for a 2-day trip on Maui, as I don't think the timetables would work with your harbour hours, and getting to OGG would be expensive and timeconsuming for a game.

The Lanai is a favorite place for a full-time excursion (we weren't) - it is often debated in the Maui and Lanai Tripadvisor boards, so you should look there for more information. Trilogy Lanai Trilogy is a way many folks like.

Then we went with a sailing boat to Lanai (under engine for the ride in the mornings, as the winds are light!)....had coffee/Danish on the way (and even saw some whales!), then a few hour snorkelling (which I detest, so I lay on the shore!), then a nice luncheon on tablecloth with cutlery...delish...then under sails back to Lahaina while we made home-made icecream!

We need to investigate the Wailea area to the OGG to consider a Molokai voyage. Except the shuttle is a better choice when you consider that we are in Wailea and not on a cruising holiday of this particular itinerary. The Lanai is simpler. Who can give an estimate of the cost of a full outing from Maui to Lanai or Molokai?

There are both ferries and planes. In the hope that the boat would be much cheaper. Ferrying to Lanai and back would be the cheapest way for a full days out to either island, and Lanai can be discovered a little by boat vs. the need to hire a vehicle on Molokai.

I think it would be a Maui Lanai journey. I' ve been about 6 x in Landai (stayed), very beautiful beaches. If you are looking for a daily cruise I would suggest a cruise with "trilogy". http://sailtrilogy. com/tour/lanai You are offering a high standard cruise and it meets all your needs, sails across the island, BBQ lunches, snorkelling, seaside hours, and a cruise of the topland.

Chuck- I concur that the Lanai trilogy is deserving of travel, and for the OR, I think it is the best choice for the timing they have (I include a marriage to her in an earlier post here ) - but for mikeerda' scenario because he is mentioning the costs being a number of factors, the shuttle could be done for about half the costs of the trilogy journey.

So, ferryboats from Maui to Lanai only run from Lahaina? So, ferryboats from Maui to Lanai only run from Lahaina? Was I a little puzzled by your last line..... did you mean'Lanai' as distinct from'Lahaina'? Was I a little puzzled by your last line..... did you mean'Lanai' as distinct from'Lahaina'?

This is the only place from which you can take a boat. and stop at some places along the way - e.g. Baldwin Home.
