At the end of last weeks Methodist Church in Fiji raised a grand total of $2.1 million. Fiji's Methodist Church Secretary of Communications, Reverend James Bhagwan, says she is very thankful that she was able to find a considerable sum at the end of yesterday's meeting.
The Reverend Bhagwan has also reaffirmed that the annual conference or prestigious meeting of Bose Ko Viti will begin and end on Friday. It says that they will deal with a number of societal questions affecting the countrys economy and with decisions that have emerged from their various divide. They will also have a high-ranking Fijian policeman to discuss the rise in criminality and how the policing and Methodist churches can work together to tackle these problems.
The Reverend Bhagwan says that in addition to discussing the various questions that have been posed by the 58 different departments of the Methodist Church around Fiji, the Methodist Church will be electing a new leader in the morning.
