It' a sea wall outside, but the shore is only a brief stroll away. Overlooking the sea is comfortable over the large, sloped grass, but the sea front apartments are not as near to the sea as some other condominiums, such as Kana'i A Nalu, whose apartments have a similar feeling. A few of them are beautifully modernized, others are sufficient, but neat.

Maalaea Bay's Lauloa are wonderful two-bedroom Maui holiday homes by the sea. View over the cove to Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Haleakala and the Isles Lamai and Molokini. All Maui apartments are furnished with an especially large galley, lounge, bar, washing machine and tumble-drier. Each apartment has a twin bedded room with entrance from the main room and the sitting-room.

The Lauloa is reasonably priced and has a beautiful terrain, comfortable barbecue areas and a enclosed swimming area. There is a calm coastline with a small stroll to a five miles long whitish sand shore where you can hike as far as Kihei. Situated in the centre between Lahaina and Kaanapali, Maalaea Village has stores, dining and the much-loved Maui Ocean Center.

The Maalaea Boat Harbor is also a popular destination for snorkelling and caving. Away from the masses of tourists in tranquil Lauloa and remain in the tranquil Maalaea Bay.
