Lahaina
of LahainaOn November 8, 1866, the spire was improved with a warehouse with a staircase to the clearance and the nurse's bedroom with a torch burning gas. After Hawaii was annihilated by the United States, the port master took charge of the beacon and the structures continued during the transition of politics from the temporary administration to the state.
Lahaina's sailing harbour remained important and in 1905 a new beacon was built by the U.S. Lightthouse Board. In 1916 the US Coast Guard inaugurated the rebuilt Lahaina beacon. It was covered with cement and its lights were automatized.
Journeys to Luhaina
Situated between the West Maui Mountains and a calm ocean, Lahaina has long been a favourite meeting place. Note that you must complete the exemption certificate and send it to your host before arriving (see more information at the end of this description).
If you want to go underwater, all your health issues regarding the disclaimer must be met with a no. In Lahaina your first 45 minutes of your introduction will begin at the Lahaina store where you will be taught how to put on your helmet and other gear, breath through a regulators and acquire other essential diver training.
Then, we go to the riff, where we paddle into the waters at a not crowded place like Black Rock at Kaanapali Beach, Honolua, Airport Beach, Kapalua Bay, Mala Pier or Canoe Beach. Maui' s coastline is not more than 10.7 metres deep, but is still home to a variety of aquatic species such as verdant tortoises, corals and many small groups of tropic fishing that swim with your instructor while you enjoy the individual care and agility to move at your own speed as you get used to being submerged and practicing scuba drift.
You will be enrolled in this led land diving course at no additional charge.
