On weekends many Wellingtoners drive northwest to the Kapiti Coast. Great birdwatching. - Komori Island Nature Tours, Paraparaumu Travelogues

The base trip was arranged with only one shuttle to the islands and the mandatory conversation. You' ve got about six and a half hour on the isle. In principle, there are three paths that can be followed: one along the banks and up the hillside and two paths that take you to the summit (500+ metres difference in altitude).

There were many bird species on the archipelago (this is the major point of the trip): caca, hehi, robin, kui, bellbirds, wooden dove, weka, tacahe, saddleback,.... and all of these in order to achieve perfect photographic clearance and well-lit. One of the highlights is the couple of cocoa with a duck. It' s important to make a reservation in advance, as the number of persons renting on the islands is very small.
