How many Villages in Samoa

Manunu woodland fishing

Manunu on Upolu's eastern shore is being helped by a Peace Corps member with a one-of-a-kind outreach. US Joshua Tarbox is working with the Department of Fisheries on the development of the Vailepa o Manunu Community Development Pondject. It will allow local farming of local seafood, which will significantly improve the village's diet.

Earlier this month, the Ministry supplied 450 of them. It will support the feeding of about 300 Manunuans, whose primary resource is the mountain genetics area. "There is no easily available freshwater fishing, as Manunu is far in the mountain and the near stream is not big enough to eat it.
