The Fiji Route helps you to organise your holidays. We' ve worked out three different 7-day routes which we'll publish in our blogs in the next few days, each with new Fiji journey recommendations.

First, here is our beginners manual for Fiji. Let us take a look at the major Fiji archipelago you need to know about. LEVU VITI: This is the largest of Fiji LEVU with the largest population. There are two major cities, the first in Nadi and the second in Nausori, about 30 min drive from the city.

You' ll be hearing a great deal about the coral coast - this is a wonderful route on the west side of Viti Levu with wonderful sandy beach and resort, a favourite destination. The city of Denarau is the major harbour and yacht harbour next to the city of Nadi and is the place where you will find many of the resort, touristic areas and export municipalities.

It is also one of the safest areas of Fiji as there is 24/7 safety and sentries watch every vehicle that comes and goes. LEVU VANUA: The second biggest Fiji isle. The population of the city is slightly lower and it has fewer visitors than Viti Levu. It is a wonderful isle, about 45 minutes flying time from Nadi.

The favorite place in Vanua Levu is Savusavu! Have a look de Savusavu : Fiji's Paradisefor Have a look de Savusavu : Fiji's Paradisefor more about this wonderful area. There are great dive sites off Savusavu, such as the Namena Marine Reserve, but there are also many non-diver opportunities. The Vanua Levu is perfect for the adventuresome traveler.

Also known as Fiji's Garden Island. GROUP OF MAMANUCA & YASAWA ISLANDS: They are the two major groups of smaller isles that most travelers try to consider on their Fiji route. Mamanuca Island is nearer to Viti Levu, with some, like the South Sea Island, only a 30-minute cruise from Denarau for outings.

Before you land in Fiji, think of these two buzzwords - "Bula" and "Vinaka". Discover Nadi. You can also go to the Nadi market in the city or the Namaka market for fruits, veggies and even fishi. You should be in Denarau for a while. Denarau has a large selection of clothing and gifts for those who want to shop in Fiji - even if it is a little more costly than in the city.

Denarau Marina is only 30 min by ferry from the South Sea island. Stop at the untouched Natadola Beach from Nadi for a snorkeling excursion or even a horseback riding along the coast. Drive to Fiji Beachhouse, a scenic backpackers shop in an enchanting area.

Soak up the attractions around Suva, such as Colo-I-Suva Woods or drive to Tappoo City for groceries. Unwind at the Royal Suva Yacht Club for a few cocktails with a view of the yacht harbour and observe the sunset. D DAY SEVEN: Back to Nadi for your connecting flights. Journey back to Nadi via the King's Highways.
