Ho'olaule'a - 76 photos & 34 votes - Performing Arts - Alondra Park, Lawndale, CA Big sound, fun, food, different providers for everyone to savor. It' usually the third week-end of July and the whole place is full! We' ve established a small'base' outside the central area of the fair to rest, dine and watch the shows. Wide choice of island fare; expensive, but it's usually a fund-raiser for a thu troop or something.

It is a great experience - Ukelelele, Uulalele and Tahitians appearances all Saturday and Sunday and there is even a Sunday worship on. You can park for a small charge in the El Camino car park or try to park in the area. Let me take you to dinner and stick with the tiki! The best Bawaiian out of Hawaii.

You' ll need to get there very early to find a place in the shadow, otherwise you' ll need plenty of sun protection and plenty of fresh stains. The Inter-Club Council of California in Hawaii has invested a great deal of hard work to create this Polish culture happening in one piece, with great appearances by Polish troops and a large number of merchandisers.

Below are some suggestions / hints / information when you go to this event: There is no entry requirement for this show. - An 8.00 parked at the school. When you don't care to walk about 1/3 of the way, there is no charge for parkings in the area. - Godservings take place on Sunday mornings.

  • Just get some hot tap water. When planning to see the shows, please do not take along normal -sized chairs (unless you are planning to sit in the back), as you will hinder and hinder others' joy in the show. - Brings along some money. While some sellers are willing to take loans, most grocers only take money.
  • Use a Hawaiian gown, skirt, dress, tee or waist to show off your ghost Aoha. You have a good choice of foods. Several of the providers are non-profit organisations and are running a fundraising campaign, please help them do so. The funniest thing was to lean back, see a gig and listen to the show so lucky I was able to make it to this year' s Hawaiian Celebrations. The celebrations started at 9am but I didn't get there until after 11am.

There were probably a few thousand people at the party when I got there, a lot behind the scenery, on stages, the show with ceilings, deckchairs and sunshades, and people in line for meals and groceries.

they have just about everything here, except the chocolate-covered maccadamia balls. So many different types of Hwaiian shirt, fabrics for Hwaiian clothes, herbs, home textiles.... so many different outfits on the coast. At the back and end of the giant grass a Hwaiian bands plays to keep the show going. everyone here is cheerful and the atmospherful. really, you can sense the loving and relaxing feeling.

I got myself some nice hottie madasadas and spamming musubis before I drove home. there were a bunch of free car parks at the south end of Redondo Beach Blvd. a bunch as I went... walking through the nice duck pond and across the play area... this matter takes two whole working day, every third week-end in July.

I' m trying to come every year to this hahawaiian fest that is taking place in Alondra parkl. There' been an increase in the number of cars parked in the caravan. $5 to $8 to get into the caravan. When you can find road parking, foolishly I strongly suggest it unless you buy a great deal of material and nutrition, but don't bother about going.

A side of the area is where are all the sellers you can buy towels and other hawaiian crafts and good things. On the other side is the meal, where the line can be long and the meal can run out. It' great to have the feeling of the hula, soundtrack and other shows on stages all the time.

Please take a cap, sun glasses, sunscreen and your purse for a good while! This is the best and largest of Hawaii' festivals I have visited on the continent, with a selection of soaps, jewellery, fabrics, dishes and arts, to the sound of Hawaii through dancing and soundtrack. There' s about four sets of stores to rummage through (and get away from the hot Alondra Park), a set of nothing but nothing but dinner (everything from MANGOS to spamming musubis to Manapua), and a play area for the kids.

You do not have to pay to use the El Camino car parks. There are enough free car parks across the road, all you have to do is go on foot! We had many good sellers looking through the locals and Hawaiians. Dinner was delicious enough and when all the Hawaiians went out for lunch, there was enough.

You have more than enough car parks in the streets around the grounds or next to El Camino College, but be ready for a quick hike. It also had some car parks on the inside, but it seemed like you needed a passport or to "know" someone to get in.

Fantastic dancing, relaxed sitting on the lawn, refreshing soda, not the best car-place, but a funny afternoons. Freshly-pressed soda pop stall, I heard last year that they had counterfeit soda pop - shaved icecream stall, my boyfriend's oh my cousin and BF adored it --Plenty of moving baths, at least 5 washbasins, parks toilet was also open --Had a great outlook, although for a while, towards the end, some folks got up --I did receive a lei as my Nephew after a group of dansers ended their performance poor::

It was not a poor rate, $5, it wasn't too far, it was 2. 5 star for the lot --The power range is not sheltered, so if the sprinklers had gone into the pouring water, we would have walked to the drive. I' ll come back next year for the gigs and I' ll be relaxing in the garden, hopefully without rains.

One of the bigger So Cal Ho'olaule'as in terms of quantity of groceries and crafts sellers. Suppliers are usually the same every year. Dinner is not good, but remember, it's a fund-raiser for the organisations behind them. Finding a place to park can be hard if you don't get there by lunch.

Five dollars to go to El Camino College next to the gardens. It' my thirtyth year at this fair. Hula, Tihiti dance, Sunday mornings adoration, salesman, Hwaiian lunches, what more can you ask for. Everything is located in a large garden where you can take your own ceilings, stools, tents, cool boxes, etc.

Please take sun cream and money. It is a two-day meeting that always takes place on the third week-end in July. We' ve got free private car parks (I can't really give that away....because it wouldn't be a mystery then, would it?!). There is also a beautiful choice of dishes from the islands. In recent years, the small tent area with desks near the dining stalls with a small platform for entertainmen.

For the stalls and all the little things you can take home with you 2. Shooping bags in case you want to take some additional groceries home (trust me, it's easy to wear this heavier styrofoam container, which is overfilled with tasty food) or to spare the salespeople a sack 3.

This is one of my favourite shows of the year.... I like to come to the many suppliers, the large selection of dishes and the great music! A lot of mainlanders think that just because it is a festival in Hawaii, it must be associated with paradise by default. You think Hawaii' is just immunity from shit?

What could they possibly think that HAWAIAN festival are no less messed up, they are organisations that are less unorganised. Is it less expensive to eat? In the last two get-togethers, many in Alondra Park have lived with the nightmares of those who sat in front of the theatre and blocked the world?

It' s a lot of trouble to park, but I wasn't angry that I had to run the few blocs from the neighborhood to get here. Sellers sold bollocks... and I mean overall bollocks you could probably find at a discount check-out towards the end of the summer as they clear out their seasons material.

Sellers' stands were also located in the most bumpy parts of the garden. Eating, going back to it, was just quite slow and over priced for what you got. So, what you had was plenty of sunshine and too much to spend on meals you shouldn't have paid so much for.

This whole culture fest was too bad and was quite a frustration of what I had hoped for and anticipated. I' m here to see the music. I asked to stop. It was free, but it was $8, a little pricey, but okay. Any fees for parking these few working day, Lol.... The baths were pretty rough, as I thought, because they were in the garden.

We had a lot of stalls and meals to eat. I would recommend to come to the fair at least once if you have never been..... I had such a good meal! Note that NO PETS are permitted at this conference! It' a WONDERLIKE experience!
