Whole of Hawaii Oahu2014 Howaiian Telcom Oahu Phonebooks - Tasty Island
Whilst it is sorry to think of for those who rely on the liner trade for their jobs, the fact of stress is quickly becoming a thing of the past, such as fixed phones (since'kine you plugs into da' wall) in houses. In addition, large wireless operators with ever-growing infrastructures (you know who) are very aggressively taking as much of the remaining fixed network business as possible, even bricks and mortars like ours, which are still dependent on fixed services.
In order to demonstrate how quickly fixed phone lists are disappearing on Oahu, here is a side-by-side look at the 2011 issue of the Oahu Yellow Pages 2011 in Hawaii with the new 2014 issue....... Yellow Pages 2014 comprise 907 pages, Yellow Pages 2013 1031 pages and Yellow Pages 2011 1,296 pages. Nowadays, the fundamental arithmetic operations, over 3 years, is a 389 page less than that.
White Pages 2014 are 485 pages, White Pages 2013 581 pages and White Pages 2011 688 pages. To do the mathematics again over 3 years, that is a 203 page less nowadays. ANY number I need is first searched on-line (usually on Yelp), then if I can't find what I'm looking for there (which is very rare), only then will I access the yellows for categories of professionals like car fix.
There is no need for the white pages, both for work and for my own reference. On the subject of service, it's amazing how many lawyers are in our Yellow Pages, which make up the biggest individual categories in the lilac area of the work. Of course, the next bigger area is the restaurant in the rose area, where full-page advertisements can taste a very nice one.
It' VERY EXPENSIVE to promote in the Yellow Pages! Apart from fixed vs. mobile, another issue today is what will get more to your company? Spend tens of millions of dollars on printed advertisements, or go the inexpensive "free" way (depending on who takes care of it for you) on-line with a website and using popular channels like Facebook, Yelp and Tweet?
The place where you want to be seen and concentrate your labour. When you know how to "work" in the field of digital publishing, you don't even have to spend money on your own advertisements, as they become on-the-fly. Actually, I created and serviced the initial website for The Shack Hawaii Kai and Waikiki, but the property has "moved" and I don't do that anymore, and Hawaii Kai's website is now offline.
To make it even less clear that I have been a fixed -line client of yours for years and only gave up home services a few years ago because I just didn't use it anymore. A good thing about Hawaiian Telcom is diversification and offers web and high definition TV services, which some of my employees living in Ewa Beach (woot!) have changed from Oceansic, not only because it is a little less expensive, but because their cabling networks correctly and dependably capture on Oceans telecom, while Oceanics TV services often interfered in their area after them.
There is now also a new cordless telephone line available in the city of Hawaii, which is new and good to know!
