Maps of Fiji travelUnforgettable the Macarena; the Bula Danse is where it is, but if you're looking for a bit more authentic then you' ll be visiting a fellow Fiji town far from the Resorts Isles and you'll soon get in the welcoming swings of things.
Unforgettable the Macarena; the Bula Danse is where it is, but if you're looking for a bit more genuineness then you' ll be visiting a Filipino hamlet far from the Residence Isles and you'll soon get in warm swings of things. Getting away from the perishable tourist in Nadi and Denarau Island is a great option, although Viti Levu still has a few interior getaways to offer if you're ready to go a little further from the harbour or Denarau Island area.

The Fiji archipelago is made up of just over 330 volcanoes, about a third of which are occupied. Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, the two biggest island, are also the most populous with the Nadi Viti Levuownship. They offer travelers a place to get their orientation after long-haul flight. Because of their relatively nearness to Nadi, the Mamanuca and Sacred Isles often appear on small shipping routes with the movies Castaway (Monuriki Island) and Blue Lagoon (Nanuya Levu aka: Turtle Island), which tempt discoverers to look for fixed places to see if the reality corresponds to the big picture display.
The encounter with the aquatic life of the island of Drawaqa, accompanied by a sea life expert, is the best biological education of all time, especially in combination with nature protection activities in the interior of the island and excursions to school. While the Mamanuca is about 20 deep at low tide, as the Pacific climbs, the numbers fall to about 13 with Monuriki and Bounty Isles showing some of the coral-lined jewelry of the chain.
Relatively close to Port Denarau and within walking distance, Mamanuca is a favourite destination for day-trippers and sleepers with a choice of glossy resort and inexpensive B&Bs to cater for all types of holiday. Fidginess in Fiji comes in many shapes and just like polluting a yellow taxi in New York City, your first look of the coconut-dotted Monuriki Island's whitish sand is jumped up to summon up a sequence that you're sure you've seen somewhere before.
CASTWAY has been shot on Monuriki and there is no better place to pamper your whole baking catalog of unpopulated desertscapes. Tui Na Revurevu and his supporters took the kayak to Fiji and ended up on the lonely banks of one of the five islands and thus on the Narokorokoyawa Sacred Islands.
Remnants of settlement and burial cave sites that are part of Fiji's culture and coastal kayak will help you visualize what such a discoveries must have been for the early colonists. The third biggest of the islands of Fiji, Taveuni is much more than just a remote place with sandy beaches (there is plenty of dark sands here).
Because of their position, north-east of the Mamanuca Islands, the Yasawa Islands are a little more difficult to reach, but can still be accessed on a seven-day small boat trip, no problemat. Its remoteness and the feeling of flight that you will feel upon your return is simply magic and it is still simple to see why Nanuya Levu was selected as the backdrop for the 80s romantic deserts of the islands, the Blue Lagoon.
