Tokelau's results for the lazy or villagers of the three altolls have seen a new lazy person voted in Fakaofo. On the weekends, there were also votes to appoint the mayor of the villages and delegates for Tokelau's General Fono. The Foua Toloa is the new foipule for the Fakaofo Almighty and replaces Kolouei O'Brien.
He was reelected for another tenure as a lazybones for Atafu. Pio Tuia, who last played this part in 2005 and was also re-elected as a lazybones for Nukunonu, is the 2008 leader of Tokelau, too. Tinielu Tumuli in Fakaofo, Lino Isaia in Nukunonu and Nouata Tufoua in Atafu are new mayor, or pulseuku.

There is only one major isle on Atafu and Nukunonu. Fakaofo is located on two isles. Fenuafala is the major center, and Fenuafala has a medical center, a clinic and some homes.
