From Moorea to Bora BoraDUMBLEDORE: Confused: The Moorea vs Bora Bora - Moorea Forum
I and my fiancé are completely puzzled to go to either Bora Bora or Moorea. We have never snorkeled or done aquatic sport in this room before. At Moorea there are some very beautiful open spaces. The Team Beach right next to the Moorea Sofitel is very beautiful and almost a nautical miles long with a view of Tahiti.
There' s also another beautiful open sea shore just west of the Moorea Hilton. In general, Moorea is better known for its mountainous landscape with steep dales containing astonishing hiking paths and some falls. The Moorea is less touristic. Moorea has no 5-star resort. The Bora Bora is better known for its stunning laguna.
All in Bora Bora is typically more expansive and tourist than in Moorea. Bora Bora has several 5-star hotels. Mt Otemanu from some of the resort's beautiful scenery overlooks the area. Moorea is generally about the islands beauties, while Bora Bora is about the amazing laguna.
Moorea may be the better choice if you don't see yourself romping around in the sea and like to stay on your legs. Bora Bora could be the better solution if you are looking for the romance of WOW South Pacifiac. When you dial Bora Bora, in additon to the $500 flight......be cautioned that most there is 20-35% higher than on Moorea.
No matter which of the islands you decide on, get yourself prepared to open your pocket. Both have their own kind of beauty......and it is in the eyes of the beholder....everyone has a different view of what is more attractive and why. We' d just got back from Moorea and BB.....I'd vote for BB.
Eating is better, aquatic activity is better (the best part about Moorea is the heart, by far), the folks seemed to be much nicer.......don't misunderstand me, both are awesome, but we preferred BB. Though I felt like BB was less tourity than Moorea, but that may have had something to do with where we remained, because I know that most would disagree as I.
They are both great adventures, but if you enjoy aquatic sports, BB is your isle. Moorea is the right place for you if you are looking for country pursuits, walking, etc. See....That's why I say: "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....everyone has a different opinion". Moorea is much more beautiful than Bora Bora.... and Moorea is WAY less touristic than Bora Bora.
Only part I will endorse is Bora Bora, which is better for aquatic and water-based activity and Moorea, which is better for land-based activity. Hello LasVegasPatti- the fare between the islands is indeed $500pp a way. BUT I don't think you should only stay 2 days on an isle.
There' just not enough to get anything out of the visitor. You only have five whole day..... I'd be on one single isle every five day.
