The Cook Islands are small and secluded, a true heaven. The mountainous Rarotonga, encircled by sand dunes and deep sea corals, is heartbreakingly stunning, while the island of Aitutaki with its huge blue Laguna and small islands of staggering palm trees and sugary sand is the image of many peoples of the ideal ship island.
The Cook Islanders are said to be the most friendly in the Pacific.... which says something. Beautiful as the beach is, there is enough to please the adventure of the chef. Rarotonga, rent a bicycle and discover lonely sands, tranquil alleys and small towns or take a ride by car or quads into the rough indoors.
On the waters, the reef-protected pools are ideal for kayak, swim and kitesurf, while snorkeling and scuba dipping under the sea is just world-class. Aitutaki' s pristine nature is breathtaking and it is no overstatement to say it is the gem in the Pacific cap. Surrounded by uninhabitated Smaragd isles, radiant sandbanks and colorful reindeer corals full of pelagic life, the lake is a breathtaking laguna of crystalline waters.
Absolutely quiet and impossible to romance, this would be a great place for your perfect honeymoon. Tradtional island music and dances always have a role to plays in the evening. The inhabitants of the cooking island are regarded as the best Polynesian performers, and the moves, often devoted to the fertile divine, are sensual and sometimes even classy.
You should not miss island evenings that combine a festivity with music.
