Colonial Lodge Suva Fiji
Suva Fiji Colonial LodgeHouse/Colonial house in Suva, Fiji
The Colonial Lodge, a recently refurbished 70 year old chalet, is your home in Fiji's capitol. We are in a very calm cul-de-sac in the centre of Suva City. Suva Market, where you will find the most appealing selection of fruit and vegetable in the whole wide area.
You' ll also find 6 cinemas in the town centre, Suva craft fairs, Suva craft stores, cosmopolitan dining and publishing, Suva Museum, Suva Olympic Swimming Pool, Suva Flea Market and other great bargains in the town. There are several cafés in the town offering free Wi-Fi with a shop and online stores with printing equipment.
I had to spend a whole weekend here! The majority of folks don't spend a whole weekend in Suva because there are only a few things to do, but I just loved to relax in the hotel and recharge for the next stage of my itinerary. And explore the town and the near rain forest reservation.
The Colonial Lodge
DON'T T STOP - HIGH ROBBERY-RISKS! and while asleep, someone burglarized and took almost all my stuff from the house....e I was asleep in the master suite. You could open the closed doors from the outside, which means the individual knew the place very well.
While the loss of everything you have is enough trouble, the response of Suzie (the owner) and her father was worsen. Accusing me of telling lies about how much cash I'd taken, calling me a moron, saying I didn't close the doors (I did) and refusing to pay me back for my leftover night.
I had to spend another overnight in this unsafe place without money or debit card because I was afraid that someone might collapse again. that the place is unsafe and that they haven't done enough to make it secure.
Because of the attitudes of the owner (Suzie and her father) it is almost unavoidable that something like this will soon be reoccur. Many other places in the Suva are less expensive and more secure. Keep yourself and your things safe and keep somewhere else.
