Club Med Tahiti Bora Bora
Med Tahiti Bora Bora Bora ClubThe Moorea Forum
The Club Med was a great asset when it came to Tahiti. Moorea Club was my favourite, but I know the situation has deteriorated. Bora may have a very low shot at re-opening, but from everything I've been told, I'd say he has a zero shot at Moorea.
In 2002 I heard back that the VP of Club Med planned to spend about $20 million on the Moorea estate, which was one of the Club Meds initial. Doing any other kind of resort would be a disgrace, as for the moneys I think Club Med always does offer a reasonable deal. Sure.
Is it not interesting that the locals owning the properties on Moorea and Bora Bora wanted to raise the rent like 10 folds, so Club Med. I' ll wager that the family would like to have the deals they had before with all the unemployed and other resort that had trouble being overwater.
There are over 200 members in the country and they must all agree to do something with the country. The Bora Bora site, at least, has only been sealed for one or two years.... so it is not as dilapidated as the Moorea site.
I' m not sure they have the same basic problem with the Moorea estate. The last message I have is that the familiy has other projects for the estate. A number of members of the house now live on the plot enclosed by the sea. Some years ago, many of the cottages were bought by locals who transported the material, sanitary facilities and bungalow reconstruction frame on their own area.
BB club med country is NOT family-owned, so not like the Moorea area where 80 or more persons have to settle on the rent. Thought there were 200 members of the group. So I checked Club Med's annual report and saw that they own the Bora Bora estate.
Financially, Club Med seems to be a fairly-funded club. I' m sorry to get the word out about Moorea. It' s a disgrace that the familiy does not have a single individual who can trade the benefits of the money flows to the other people.
This is an energetic holiday adventure with travellers from all over the globe at a reasonable rate. Moorea was a good example of this. I would be resolved to work with the host families immediately and work with the Goverment of France to buy this area.
