Put-in-Bay, the name of the vibrant South Bass Island town, is the most populated and loved of the isles. Perry's Military and International Peace Memorial, Perry's Cave, Heineman's Winery und South Bass Island State Park. And, yes, the island has a well-deserved name as a Saturday night club centre in high season.

Kelleys Island is the biggest island in Ohio with 4 sq m. And Middle Bass Island, the calmest of the three, but ready for reincarnation as the state gets ready to rehabilitate the historical former Lonz winery, which suffered a deadly inner courtyard crash in 2000.

Ferry and ferry boats provide frequent transport to the Sandusky, Marblehead and Port Clinton isles.

The Erie Islands are made up of the islands of Catawba, Kelley's Island, Middle Bass Island, South Bass Island and Oak Point. Kelley's Island is 677 hectares of first-class countryside around Lake Erie. During the winter you can go cross-country skiing, icefishing and skating on the glazed Lake Erie.

The South Bass Island is a much more private room stretching over only 32 acre. There are the same great things to do as Kelley Island, two pick nick safari facilities, boating and jet-ski hire and full-service camping sites. Eriesee became famous for the first time after the 1812s. It was particularly good for winegrowing, which earned the island the epithet "The Wine Islands".

More than 1/3 of Ohio's grapes came from the island in the early 1800' s, with the island wine being considered better than some of the best in France. Vineyards still exist on the island today. Today the island is a favourite holiday destination. These five islets were added to the state parking system in the 1950'.
