The Cessnock is an area in the town of Glasgow, Scotland. Located just southwards of the Clyde River, it was part of the former Burgh of Govan[1] Cessnock's major road is Paisley Road East, which leads westwards towards Paisley and eastwards through Kinning Park to Paisley Toll.
The Cessnock underground stop serves this area. There are many bus stops at Paisley Road Western, most often Line 9, which offers quick eastwards to the city centre and westwards to Govan and Paisley. You can reach the train terminal by a pedestrian bridge crossing the M8 highway on Clifford Street.
The trade fair train terminal can be accessed from Cessnock via the SECC. The Walmer Crescent, a sweeping apartment house that has been created by one of Glasgow's most renowned architect, Alexander "Greek" Thomson, is located in Cessnock. The BBC Scotland HQ is a ten minute stroll to the Pacific Quay, just off Cessnock.
Bellahouston Park on the south border of Cessnock is home to an art lover house created by another renowned Glasgow based designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The Festival Park is located in the north and Plantation Park in the east. Both Bellahouston Park and Pollok Park are within easy walk of the hotel.

The Cessnock RegionalĀ art gallery organises travelling and exhibition shows for all year round and shows works by regional artist. Each year, the programme of the exhibition includes 12 shows focusing on the fine Arts. One of the architectonic jewels in Cessnock is a wooden house, which was built around 1885 and today is home to the Marthaville Centre of Cessnock.
It is open on Fridays and Saturdays and you can buy handicrafts there. There is another place for picnics under the rubber bushes at the Astills picknick place in the Werakata National Park. Cessnock is only 10 minutes away by car. In Hunter Valley Zoo you can manually paddle a kangaroo or wallaby and approach the koala.
The Potters Hotel Brewery Resort is located near the park, where you can enjoy the artisanal breweries of Hunter Beer Co.
