Entertainment for the whole familiy..... There are a number of motels available, according to your needs and your budgets. We are ideally located for walks and bike rides along the Waikanae river and around the mouth of the Waikanae beach. In the Christmas/New Year period (last weekend of December / first weekend of January) there is a wide variety of guided horseback riding, rock faces, go-karts, bow shooting, kayaking, pedal boat and inflatable rifle lessons.
It' a great way to try some of our local recreational opportunities at a discounted $3 per capita only. Most of our services must be reserved in advanced at other hours of the year. It is possible to participate in the following sports: swimming pool (in season), mini-golf, tennis, petanque and trampolines.
With Waikanae as a place to visit, if you prefer to change the surroundings and spend a peaceful week-end of rest and recreation, you will not be dissapointed. We have everything within 5 minutes by car from citieship to beaches - whether it' s coffee, sandwiches, Indian food or eastern cuisines.
I had a great quality of life with my wife and daughter. At the Baker Lodge, which we found well furnished and tidy and spacious, our 13-year-old had a lot of fun with the local activity and met many children, we hardly saw him during the workday.
