There' s always something going on in Brisbane. Brisbane has accommodations for every taste and every taste throughout the area. It is less than 15 km from the CBD and there are two airports, both national and internation, with 30 carriers operating to and from some 80 locations. Comprising 15-30 -minute train services, the train connects the national and intercontinental terminal with the Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast.

The journey takes about half an hours between the Aiport and the town and you can take a cab or a lift (e.g. Uber). You can also board one of the many shuttles that take you to the town or directly to your shelter. There are plenty of cabs and rides in Brisbane.

Or if you would rather go by yourself, you can rent a car at the Australian airports and the streets are well-marked. (In Australia we are on the left!). When in town, an expansive web of walking and cycling trails connects the West End, South Bank and the town to New Farm and Fortitude Valley.

Locate a CityCycle bike-sharing location or rent a cycle in the City Botanic Gardens. Brisbane's vast urban transportation system makes it simple to find your way around. City Loop busses will take you around the Convention Center free of charge or take the CityGlider bus, which runs further away to suburban areas such as Fortitude Valley or the West End.

There is a train network serving the center and outskirts and going up and down the coastline. It' difficult to beaten the CityCat and CityHopper ferry boats that sail the Brisbane River for a picturesque journey.

Full of independents, Fortitude Valley is considered Brisbane's best mall. Returning to the center of the town, the Collective Markets take place every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday at Stanley Street Plaza, showing more than 100 creative people from the area who sell handcrafted jewelry, artwork, antiques, photos and antique attire.

The coast of Brisbane is full of picturesque islets. Only 70 minutes by boat from Brisbane, Moreton is the third biggest sandbar islet in the word, but less than 100 inhabitants call the islet their home. The biggest part of the isle is a Nationalpark, which offers a wonderful paradies of beach, shrubs and water.

The Moreton is also home to the famed Tangalooma wrecks, a favourite spot for scuba and snorkeling. The North Stradbroke Islands (affectionately called "Straddie" by the locals) is another great vacation spot and is only 40 minutes by boat from Cleveland. With three towns on the archipelago - Dunwich, Amity and Point Lookout - surrounded by beautiful windsurfing spots, tranquil coves and tranquil seas.

Cycle around the islands and stop at Point Lookout to watch migratory cetaceans between June and October. Stay a starry nights at Nightfall Wilderness Camps, just 90 min from Brisbane. Located next to World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, the campsite offers visitors easy acces to luxuriant rainforests, falls and hiking paths.

Brisbane is served by numerous airlines from all over the world. It is only 20 min. from the aerodrome by cab or rail to the center of the town. There is a free shuttle that circumnavigates the town every 10 min. and a free CityHopper boat that runs along the North Quay to New Farm.
