Fiji's Bouma National Park
I and my husband used to love everything: dipping, divers, people, the feeling of the garden island, the small course, walking, everything, but most of all we will never ever remember our walk around Bouma National Park and swimming in the lower Tavoro drops. Even for a tough Triathleten it was very hard on this daily to approach the dropping waters, since the discharge was very hard to be broken.

Hike to the three waterfalls in Bouma National Park
After a short walk we went to the Bouma National Park to see the Falls that became popular through the film "Return to the Blue Lagoon". The Bouma National Park is about an hours north of Bibi's Hideaway. Entrance to the park was $15 FJD and the cab to and from the park was $60. Also the baths at the information are the only ones in the park.
A well-maintained route to the first cascade is proof of how much the local people appreciate the tourist. Don't be deceived by the shallow, light hike, because the walks to the second and third water falls are getting rougher and rougher. There is something in a fairytale about the first one.
This waterfall rises like an artificial well far away from the rock. When you are a powerful floater, you can go to the waterfalls and even behind them. There' s a very powerful flow that pushes you away from the middle of the fall, and the continuous stream of freshly squirting down your face makes it hard to get a good sip of fresh breath as you get closer to the roaring mud.
It was as beautiful as I had hoped it would be. In the first cases, get dressed for a swim, but be sure to wear your own snowshoes or walking boots for the remainder of the journey. At the first waterfalls there is a dressing room where you can take off your bathing suit.
In order to pass the second cascade, you have to run through the waters, hikers would be great, but I just walked barefoot and put my boots back on the other side. There is a picknickable at the second cascade, making it a great place for lunches. I was tired after a few tries to make it to the middle of the cases and had problems with the sharp rise to the next cases.
Funniest saurians, maybe Skink, ran all the way down the staircase to the second case. When we drew near the stream, a light violet shrimp was standing in the centre of the road, and waved threateningly when we tried to jump over it. It grabbed and shook the leafs, which were flying too near to its hoof.
but it was clear that this shrimp was serious. Some more violet guards were on their way, but none were as threatening as the first one. Every goddamn splitting, we'd turn to our toes. There' s a passage across a stream where the only viaduct is a mooring line and rocks for jumping.
It can be hard to see the way from the second cascade - go on the rock to the front of the cascade, there is a way to the right of the waterfalls, watch out for the signs. You' ll have to take your boots off and go across the creek to get on your way.
Returning from the third cascade, take the small viaduct on the lefthand side and avoid the second one. Instead, take a walk through the jungles. All we did was swim in the first cascade, but I think you could take a bath in the other two. It took four hikes, but you could do it quicker if you were under pressure.
So we took our free moments to go swimming, eating and enjoying the landscape - many stopovers for photos and crabs meetings! Whilst the first cascade looked like a fairytale, the last one looks like an adventurous one. Situated near the rocks, this cascade produces many small spatter instead of the gentle river of the first one.
When you split off at the top and form two waterfalls and there is a large basin in the middle of the rock, one of the waterfalls is actually two short waterfalls. With so many great corners to make a good picture, you' re planning to spend a great deal of your free day at this cascade.
