Bora Bora Tahiti French Polynesia
Born Bora Tahiti French PolynesiaAnd they even honoured our all-inclusive for the whole outing. Le Meridien has the best views of the mountains all the way, so it's no big thing if you get a room overlooking the lake instead of a prime room overlooking the mountains. It' a 30-minute cruise from the Aiport to the hotels, which is free of charge.
You can book the Hotello Vaitape (capital boat) and the price for the return journey is about $58 Our journey to Bloody Mary's on the capital isle was a surprising success. It' been great having one good time out. There' s no sliding or selling goods on the resorts or in the cities, which can be a nuisance in Mexico and the Caribbean, which was also a pleasurable advantage for the holiday.
From Avis we hired a motorbike and drove around the capital city. Matira, the best shore on the whole archipelago, is the most popular one I have ever seen. So we bought the all-inclusive pack, which was a little irritating at first, especially since not everyone is there. They seemed useless, because when they got to know us after a few short get-togethers, they finished the bill for us and didn't even give us a hint.
All we had to do was make the payment when we first came and our all-inclusive had not yet made it. Since I wasn't sure what the costs per full working days were, I'm not sure if we got out front or back, but it was great not to have to be worried about the costs of anything.
There was almost too much discrete publicity for the event. Polynesia, for example, is Thursday, but you only knew that when you passed the concert hall that night. All in all there is not much to do outside the aquatic sport (no "crazy games" at the pool) and the place closes after din.
Also on the capital isle there doesn't seem to be much night life. At Faaa International Tahiti there is nothing to do. After 5 or 6 pm the isle is closed, so we couldn't even go into the city to pass the while. While you can try taking a cab to the Inter Continental Park, you will have to pick up your baggage at the international camp.
Our 7-day trip seems to have been atypical, as most travellers jumped only 3-4 nights from place to place.
