About Bora Bora Geography, Population and Animals of the Islands

The Bora Bora geographical area is singular by its vulcanic formations. The Bora Bora is a small islet, 29.3 square kilometres (11.31 square metres), in a blue Laguna encircled by a chain of Mtus. The highest summit, Mt. Otemanu, is 727 metres high and emerges from the lake with its luxuriant slopes of emerging emeralds and dark foam.

Mt Otemanu boasts a spectacular scenery with a spectacular view of the Bora Bora area. A 4X4 car is needed to explore the rough Bora Bora Island. There are many country lanes leading to magnificent views of the lake and its surroundings.

Situated at the south tip of the principal peninsula, it has beautiful blank plains and canals. Find out more about Bora Bora's famed Matira Beach. The lagoons of Bora Bora are all low and Sandy, except Motu Toopua, a volcano isle.

They are lined with sandy beach and are regarded as the best in Tahiti. Some of the most luxury resort have been built on these moto. Born in Bora Bora is home to about 9,000 inhabitants. Not many wildlife here, as the island is the result of vulcanic activities in the Pacific Ocean, far away from any other country.

The only terrestrial species here are those carried by humans: horsemen, cattle, swine, chicken, sheep, cattle, goingats, hounds and even the cat. There are no serpents or hazardous terrestrial creatures in this exotic world. On a walk around the isle you can see big pits in the soil. Occasionally you can also find crayfish on the beach.

Though there are not many terrestrial species, there are many marine species!
