Delphine in Bora Bora? - The Forum

Delphine in Bora Bora? Anyway, I have some misleading feeling about the pool game. My daugther lived there 7-8 years ago and went on a trip to go swimming with the dolphins. What they do is take you out to the open ocean, in a ship, find a sheet of ferocious dolphins and throw you in the ocean with them.

They were ignored by the grown dolphins, but the young (teenage) dolphins were very inquisitive, frisky and hang around them for a long while. Though more or less people have been training them to appear in a certain place to be nourished.... at least they are still out in the open.

DOLPHIN CENTRE MOREA

Founded in 1994, this training centre for sea mammals accommodates three dolphins: two men, Lokahi and Kuokoa, who were borne in a hawaiian institution, and a woman, Hina, a US Navy pensioner in San Diego. The Alliance of Marine Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA) and the International Marine Animals Trainers Association (IMATA) have an accreditation body of vets and behavioral scientists working every day to ensure their well-being.

The Moorea Dolphin Centre has been providing top-notch education and interaction programmes for over 20 years, giving visitors the chance to enjoy an memorable adventure while at the same time experiencing the sea mammal and its ecosystems. Besides the programmes, everyone can go for a stroll near the centre, watch the dolphins in their lagoons, talk to the instructors on site about all the themes and provide teaching placards at the beach for them.

5 percent of our total GNI goes to various community programmes and charitable organizations, such as Te Mana O Te Moana, a non-profit organisation devoted to protecting and raising public consciousness of the maritime environments in Polynesia or La Saga for deprived kids.
