For $10 million Clive Palmer is buying the former Club Med Village in Bora Bora.

Clive Palmer, a miner's typcoon and excentric multimillionaire, has invested $10 million in the former Club Med Estate in Bora Bora Bora in Tahiti, France. This 30-hectare residence has 150 rooms, a 200-seat theater and a secluded cove. He said to Fairfax that he had no plan to renovate the reserve, but that it had room for improvement.

Says he will stay at his destination next months when he participates in the Asia-Pacific Forum established to debate the advancement of socio-economic developments and expansion in the Pacific isles. It was closed in 2009 by the owner Club Méditerranée SA. Located in Faaopore Bay on the southern shore of Bora Bora, 250 kilometers from Tahiti.

Rates range from $200 to $375 per overnight stop at the all-inclusive residence. CBRE's 2009 advertising said the building was a "world-class residential complex with beautiful scenery, policy stabilities and a high value residential product".

Arrived just last evening from 30 nights at Bora Bora Club Med. A fairly new GO crew led by Fred has delivered a great CM traditionality. Just once and wore the big blue marlin for a few dives. It' a short-lived, but a true reminiscence of KoDoK. Got some Mahi Mahi Mahi.
