Well-liked Bondi Beach ("BON-dye") is the name of the nearby Sydney Beach Resort, New South Wales, Australia..... The Bondi Beach is situated 7km eastwards of Sydney's main commercial area, Waverley Council, in the eastern neighbourhood. Bondi, North Bondi and Bondi Junction are neighboring towns.

The Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most popular attractions. "Bondi " or "Boondi" is an aborigine term and means waters that break over cliffs or waters that break over crags. 2 ][3] The Australian Museum documents that Bondi is a place where a battle with Boeondi flash drives (nullas zeroas or battle sticks) has taken place.

Sydney's Waters Board had an empty wastewater discharge not far from the northern end of the beach, which was shut down in the mid-1990s when a deep-water sea discharge was made. There' s an undersea net of sharks, but it does not extend the whole beach, but consists of overlappings.

There are many other shores on the same coastline with similar net. The National Rugby League Contest, one of Australia's most beloved sports events, is played by the Sydney Roosters locally, the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC).

The City to Surf Fun Run, which takes place every year in August, ends at Bondi Beach. More than 63,000 participants will take part in the 14 km run from Sydney's Sydney to Bondi Beach. Further yearly Bondi Beach events are Flickerfest, Australia's leading global shorts in January, World Environment Day[19] in June, Sculpture by the Sea in November and the Winter Magic Fair, which in 2016 drew 60,000 people.

20 ][21] Besides many outdoor events, the Bondi Beach Markets are open every Sunday, and a grocery store at the Bondi Beach Public School every Saturday. A lot of Icelandic and UK visitors are spending Christmas day at the beach. There is an Oceanway connecting Bondi with the southhead in the northern and other southern shores as far as Coogee.

The Bondi Beach was the host of the beach volley ball tournament at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Bondi Iceberg's Swimming Club was founded in 1929, thanks to a group of committed native rescuers who wanted to keep fit during the cold season. Founded the Bondi Icebergs Winters Swimming Club, they drafted a charter and voted for officials.

The Bondi Beach was used as a site for many movies, TV shows, musical clips and a videogame: It was an Aussie TV show about the house renovations; the first episode was shot on Bondi Beach. Lara Bingle was a TV show that followed the Lara Bingle and was based in Bondi.

The Bondi Rescue is a TV show about the rescue swimmers patrolling the beach. The Bondi Vet is a businesslike TV show inspired by vet Chris Brown. The film was shot around Bondi Beach. Underground 2's Level Australia is a videogame on Bondi Beach.

The Norton, a beloved fictitious figure from Australia who plays in Robert G. Barrett's book sequence, "lives" with Bondi in the tales. The Americans Under The Stairs, an US hip-hop couple, shot part of the film for their track "The Wiz" on Bondi Beach. Scooby-Doo! and The Legend of the Vampire, an US animation film, with footage from Bondi Beach.

In the 1959 Summer of the Seventeenth Doll movie we saw the figures who drank beers at Bondi Iceberg's Club. They' re a Weird in 1966 shows a movie in which the celebrity is saved on Bondi Beach. The Bondi Beach was shown in the Modern Family series " Australia ", which was broadcast on US TV on April 23, 2014.

Robin is investigating a case that was opened when a case with a woman's skull washed up on Bondi Beach in Top of the Lake Series 2. The Sydney Morning Herald of December 6, 1997 referred to the area' s growing gene pool. Well-known as one of Sydney's most populous suburban areas, Bondi Beach has a total densities of 10188/km² in 2011.

The Waverley Council launched a process in March 2007 to expel a recluse who lived in misery on a rock with a view of the beach. Jhyimy "Two Hats" Mhiyles, Peter James Paul Millhouse, came to the beach during the 2000 Sydney Olympics and became a resident of Sydney for his life style and poems for him.

In September 2011, the prosecution of Jhyimy was dismissed for doubts about the witness' credibility. The Bondi Blues is a blue-green color first used as the external color of the 1998 launch of the Genuine iMac PC, which has been given its name after the color of the waters at Bondi Beach.
