Boigu Island

The Boigu Island (also known as Malu Kiyay or Malu Kiwai) is the northernmost populated island of Queensland and Australia. The island belongs to the highest group of the Torres Strait Islands, which are located in the Torres Strait and separate the Cape York Peninsula from the island of New Guinea.
Papua New Guinea is only 6 kilometers from Boigu. The Boigu has an area of 89.6 sqm. The name Boigu is also the name of the city and Boigu Island is the name of the place on the island within the Torres Strait Island region.
This is the biggest and only populated island of the Talbot Islands group of the Torres Strait Islands.
