Earlier this day we will be exploring Bratislava, the rapidly growing Slovak capitol, on a sightseeing trip. You will be amazed how the captain steers the boat skillfully along the calm flow and through sluices, whose mechanics never stop fascinating, while we head towards Dürnstein and enjoy another excellent one. Situated on a ledge high above the stream, the palace is now in ruins, but it's easily imaginable that England's iconic sovereign is bubbling with disappointment far from home as he waits for his folks to collect money to buy his redemp.
In the afternoon you will see the magnificent Abbey of Melk. In Linz you have the option of staying in the old part of the capital and taking a sightseeing walk through the attractive old part of the capital. One of Europe's biggest stony fortifications, the Hohensalzburg, sits enthroned above the sky, while cupolas and towers tower beneath its impressive old fortifications.
In addition, there is the beautiful Hellbrunn Palace and the magnificent Mirabell Palace garden - a must for horticulturalists. It is not possible to have your meal on this full-time trip to Salzburg, but the boat does provide a box luncheon. We' re returning to the boat to enjoy another delicious meal.
Today's cruise in Vienna will be one of the high points for many. Vienna was the European culture center for 200 years until the First World War, and many of the stately edifices, art galleries, noble houses and splendid cathedrals you see today were erected as an expression of its emperor's state.
Or you can go to Schönbrunn Palace, a former imperial palace with numerous world-class art collections and art collections. Listening to this excellent piece of Viennese folk art in the town where it was made is a great way to end the evening. Have a cosy forenoon while we drive through Hungary's tranquil shepherds' country to Budapest.

Budapest's vast array of galeries, musees, exceptional Jugendstil architectural styles and superb shops provide the perfect finishing touch to your Danube cruise. Leaving the boat, we head back to the Drama of the Danube Elbow to discover some of the area' s treasures. First, we shall be visiting the mediaeval city of Visegrad, famous for its historical royal palace and the beautifully conserved fortress.
There is a magnificent gold-plated wood roof in the castle, garden and magnificent regal castle before a delicious meal. Nestled beneath the gentle slopes behind, this enchanting city on the banks of the river has a beautiful patio with colourful façades and beautiful cathedrals. Called'Montmartre of the Danube', the lush, rusted red tones and bright shades of bright oranges and yellows of the beautiful city houses glare in a bright aura.
We' ll go back to Budapest, where we'll spend the next three overnight stays with breakfasts at the Hilton Budapestity. The first stop is the baroque village of Godollo, where we take a walk through the imposing Royal Palace.
