Best things to do in new Zealand South Island
The best things in New Zealand South IslandThe best cellular plan for travelers, why you should always wrap light in what you should wrap in an adventure around the globe. It is an alpine village on the other side of the globe from the Alps. A scent of firewood that burns in the fresh, cold atmosphere of the chimneys gives the atmosphere of the village a warm, cosy and wintry charm.
Mountain, a sea that looks like a fiord... this is probably the most picturesque city in the canyon. Drive away from Queenstown to the north west and you'll find Glenorchy. It is located at the other end of Wakatipu Lake, the same fjord-like pond on which Queenstown lies. It was raining a little when I was on my way there, but it became clear when I came to the harbor for some great pictures.
I' m fucking with who, every part of this island makes great pictures. Just a few hour's drive from Queenstown, Milford Sound is actually an unbelievable fjord that discharges into the Tasman Sea. Everywhere on the way to (or from) Milford Sound there are hiking trails. Mirror Lake is also nearby:
It' a short ride to get there, on dirt road, but the Rangitata Valley, where they build the Edoras in Rohan kit in the Lord of the Rings Trinity, is wonderful. Hannah took this one when she was there and it was my girlfriend and stunning photojournalist. Don't miss Lake Tekapo, an incredibly deep water covered by high mountain peaks.
Wanaka city is pretty cool, and if you get the lights right, the Wanaka tree is a great view. It'?s an unbelievable ride. Looking out from the hotel and hostel, the view is unbelievable. It is unbelievable the view from the walks. I have travelled all over the globe and I have never visited a more wonderful place than the South Island of New Zealand.
