Fiji's best family accommodation
Unknown to Fiji's familiy vacation hot spots, it was a difficult job to find the best accommodation. We should return to the Coral Coast, discover Denarau or spend the night on one of the Fijias. Having explored everything, we found the advantages and disadvantages and the atmosphere of each of these Fiji areas.
Fiji coral coast, Denarau or Mamanuca Islands, what is the best? Here is our guidebook to the Coral Coast, the Mamanuca Islands and Denarau and what you can find in Fiji's best accommodations, which includes our selection of Fiji's most family-friendly holiday destinations by region and a proposed route on how to make Fiji with children.
The majority of homes choose the child-friendly River Coast on the southwestern side of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. There is a broad and flat fringe of corals that stretch for 80 kilometers along a line of jungle-covered hilly shores that give the area its name. Dramatically stretching the coast between the towns, scenic bays and granite bays, the Sugarcane Mountains are peppered by the extensive seaside resort.
The coral coast often polarizes those who like it or come back in disappointment and it's all about realism. Coral Coast features beautiful beaches ideals, snorkeling on the beaches and great walldives on the outreef. The Coral Coast is the ideal choice for a simple, relaxing and inexpensive vacation for the whole of your group.
Perfect for families who want nothing more than to stay under a sea front while their children are in the children's clubs or in the custody of a private Nanni. Beverages and food are available mainly at the resorts, where food is served. Enjoy idle summer evenings by the swimming pools, fill them up with the resort's amenities, or take part in organized events such as sea-gyoga, culture events, or the daily spas.
The Coral Coast is a family retreat where the resort takes care of the children. All we really like about Coral Coast Resort is the amount of free place, with large, luxuriant tropic soils without the overcrowding. The most Coral Coast Estates keep a good gap between each other with a typical town or two in the vicinity and maybe a few small stores.
The most Coral Coast Estates are located directly on the South Pacific and have a secluded sandy beaches with stunning seaviews. In addition, every coral coast residents can end the days with a beautiful evening sundowner. Fiji Resort offers many reduced priced coral coast vacation package deals for the whole of Fiji.
Except for our neighbors on the west cost, the flight to Nadi takes 3-4 hrs, with another 1-2 hrs of transfers to the Coral Coastline. It is all easy to handle with small children. Though the coral coastline is the most popular area in Fiji, there is still an authentical sense of it.
Fiji returning from Fiji in disappointment may have raised illusory hopes for a relaxing vacation on the coast. These are some disadvantages for Fiji's coastline: The most important drawbacks are the shores of the Coast, filled with beautiful sandy areas. It is grainy and consists of bits of coral and shell instead of thin blank sands. In some places you need to wear boots.
Some parts of the coastline, at low tide, withdraw far into the oceans, uncovering the broad, fringed wall of reefs for a long while. That excludes snorkeling and aquatic activities, although some resort have a lagoon to bathe in at low tide. Nearly all of them have shallow depths that are hazardous for bathing, like the beautiful Natadola on the coveside.
If you want to enjoy the best possible Caribbean beach, you should extend a coral coast vacation with a trip to one of the isles. Only drawbacks are the costs of eating and optioning outside of a resorts. There is a high meal rate at the resorts, and this is characteristic of Fiji and not just on the coral coast.
The most common way to get a la card is with an adults dinner and there are kid's eats free offers with an adults, the staple foods a-la-carte are often expensive. Couples can choose all-inclusive hotels or food schedules available at most Coral Coast Estates to help saving some cash, although not all hotels do. Coral Coast and Denarau are both beloved, family-friendly areas with an unmistakable flair.
Swap the promenade, the open spaces and the flavours of the coral coast's indigenous civilization for the more modern environment, the amenities of the restaurant and shop, and easy accessibility to the island and Nadi Aiport. Concentrating on the coral coast makes it a more accessible alternative with a focus on Fiji civilization and the beautiful area.
Sydney Drive, Off The Queens Highway, Sigatoka, Fiji, website: Fiji Beach with Outrigger. See TripAdvisor reviews and the best price. There is the exceptional Meimei's, the committed nursemaid services for families with small children, where the generous Fijians provide an additional handset for the children. Get the best rates, get genuine ratings and book a Fiji vacation with TripAdvisor here*. Mamanuca' s is the exalted archipelago that lies just westwards of Fiji's Viti Levu and is an undisputed stereotype of hanging palms and unspoilt sands. Nadi's closeness to the Mamanuca's increases the attractiveness, a picturesque trip by boat takes 1-2 hrs or arrives stylishly by seaplane or helipad in 10 mins.
There are a number of juicy volcanoes rising from the calm and calm sea, each of the islands is encircled by electrical waterfalls. Gently surfing abandoned coasts and palm trees are swaying in the gently breezing sea. The Mamanuca Islands are the choice for pure natural beauties, intimacy, luxurious amenities and cordial welcome.
It is about being happy in the Mamanucas as a host of families beachside on the islands and spend the day on the islands, chill out at the beaches or the swimming pools, participate in occasional organized resorts and use the island's amenities while the children are in the children's clubs.
There are just a few things I could spend all morning talking about why your next Fiji vacation should be to the Mamanuca Islands: The Mamanuca Islands of Fiji are a Hammock between palms and a background of gleaming blue ocean and radiant sands. We thought that the occurrence of islandfever could happen - we were inappropriate.
There are twenty palm-fringed tropic islets, relatively dense, making it perfect to leap from one islet to the next. Instead of spending an hours from Denarau on an isle, we can have a cosy morning snack, take a Jetboat to discover the surrounding isles and be back in good season for an after-snack.
Favourite daily excursions included a trip to the inhabited Monurki Islands (Modriki), where Tom Hanks shot the Oscar-winning film Castaway. Like Tom's nature, we had the famous abandoned Isle to ourselves for a while. The Castaway Fiji team even took a hand-printed Wilson volley ball for a few selected snapshots of the coconut-written'Help Me!
If you' re hungry and need a rest from the enticing, abandoned islets, Cloud 9 has a range of refreshments. This beautiful swimming barge lies in the midst of a reef dolphin paradise amidst blue sea. A 5 hours South Sea Cruises cruise that makes fast stopovers at any of the resorts on the Mamanucas resorts group.
From $65 per grown-up and $33 per kid, more expensively the further away the isle of Denarau is. A ferry trip to Denarau will cost a little more if you leave an isle and return to Denarau. To get to the Mamanuca Islands very quickly, take a picturesque chopper or floatplane from the international airports and you' ll be there in 10-15 mins.
It' a cheaper option where a four-person familiy will cost around AUD 877, including children's discounts. An AUD $650 would be reset by a four-person unit, with the comfort of 24hrs. See Mamanuca Express for more information. You can snorkel at many hidden Mamanuca' s hidden dive sites and at the reception you can jump on some of your Favorit.
We' ve been taken to a pulsating submarine empire of hyper-coloured corals and driftcrafts. Our favourite thing about snorkeling on the Fiji was the possibility of swimming in the protected Laguna and playing barefoot ashore, with the possibility of snorkeling with a multitude of species a few meters from the sea.
Then we discovered giant European conger fish, lobster hidden under crevasses of corals and the icons of the Mamanucas. In order to promote the reef's regrowth, resorsten participate in the plantation of corals. On the Mamanuca Islands the sands are a mixture of flexible granulate and small bits of corals.
There are also additional amenities to get to and from the holiday destination. Prosperously, some places of rest provide meals schedules and kid stays and free or discount deal dining for family. It is not suitable for a family who likes to travel on a tropic Fiji isle.
Another attitude is necessary, a trip to Fiji only affects the culture where the only local people who come together are the personnel of the Resorts that will cater to your every whim. Emphasis is placed on relaxation, recreation and explore the surrounding isles. That does not mean that there is nothing for those who want to go beyond the vacation spot to explore something.
One of the few island that is populated by local people with a working class settlement and culture touring. You can do great diving around the altolls and along the walls of the outreef. You can rent jet skis to discover the island and surf in the Wilkes Passage and Cloud Break.
Also around the Mamanuca Island there are many possibilities to get astray. However, try to avoid a magic night on the island with micro copic bite even though it stings! It has a kind of black and ribbon snake (Laticauda colubrin), which is very poisonous, they are spotted around corals and cliffs by the ocean.
Some of the queues werehed up on the coast while the children were having fun on the beaches. We' re reassured that no tourists were killed by a seahorse sting in Fiji. The Coral Coast and the Mamanuca Islands are great family-friendly Fiji resorts, each with a different personality.
While both resorts have luxurious resorts, the Mamanuca Island has a beautiful natural cityscape. When budgets are limited, the coral coast is a good option to the Fiji Isles, although the shortage of brochures is less than ideal, the adventure in the interior and the experience of the area make up for the shortage of a good-looking book.
The Mamanuca and Coral Coast. Why not come and see them? It is a great route and a good option for those who cannot finance a longer trip to the Mamanuca Island or for those who can let off some steam to get a feeling for what the island is all about.
Fiji Castaway Iceland Estate (Qualito), website: See TripAdvisor reviews and the best prices. Mamanuca Islands' family-friendly options, this small jewel of the islands is 174 acre, but the residence covers a smaller part of the northwest tip, where the north and south beaches meet to offer guests a panorama view of the sea in the Waters Eger restaurants.
The Castaway Fiji Resort's original choice of site was due to its two shores, which offer most of the free-standing sea-view. Although it is'family-friendly', it is not a mad child who is free for everyone. Featuring 4 stars, the hotel provides a touch of relaxed finesse and a touch of privacy where homes don't want anything.
These small numbers made it easier to make lifelong friendships with other like-minded groups in which the children were playing together. The children ran to the secure, protected camp site right in front of our front door in the mornings. Over a cup of coffee on the terrace or in the sand lounges, Mum and Dad could talk and keep an eye on the children.
As we wanted a good stay with the children, it was simple to find a peaceful place to spend a vacation with them. It is large enough to keep homes and homes from feeling crowded, even in the crowded swimming pool and beach, while the children are small enough not to get too far. Situated in the centre of the Mamanuca's, where you can see the nearby archipelago of the tranquil bluesea, the small but beautifully shaped Castaway Iceland Fiji is a paradise of sophistication.
All of the eating areas overlook the sea, with the best views of breathtaking sundowns from the setting sun lounge and the barbecue on the upper decks. When we walked through the place, there was always a guitars or a warm'Bula! Indeed, living on the islands is blessed and once they reach the beautiful banks of Castaway, they are free from the stress of the world.
Around the isle there are new renovated, air-conditioned offices, the largest complement are large, foldable window frames that bring lights into the room, especially beneficial for Boers on the shore, where parents can enjoy watching the children playing on the sands. After snorkelling the length of the housereef, we had a long and comfortable dinner together, tried the standing up paddle-boarding and had sea-cayaks around the beach - which took an h. It is a breeze of freshness that the children's clubs are run by truly thoughtful men and woman with a wide range of outdoor pursuits such as wickerwork and Fiji folk singing and dancing.

Children from the Kid's Club have the opportunity to practise and play in front of their fond parent. Although most products are delivered every day from the continent, there were always papayas, sandwiches and homemade biscuits for breakfasts.
There are also children's menus with the common chickens and crisps, burger, pasta and warm dog meals. Favourites for the children were the Nuku Marau Pool Bar and Grill, which were open for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Visitors can buy a-la-carte, but with Fiji and on an isle, a catering schedule is the right way to go.
While the price may seem high, a secluded place and better value for money for the family is anticipated. For us this was definitely something we would do again without having to spend a surprise amount of money at the end of the vacation and eating as much as we wanted, whenever we wanted, gave us a feeling of liberty.
Meals are $135 (about $84 AUD) per person per night and $69 (about $43 AUD) for children 3 years and older. Children under 3 years eat for free. Other people choose Denarau to prolong their vacation either at the beginning or at the end of their vacation to be nearer to the beach, especially useful if the flying time to and from Nadi does not match. Family arrivals may be too long for the last boat from the island or the plane is too early.

There is a burgeoning culinary landscape and Denarau is the core of the culinary culture, providing diversity and good taste for the West. On Denarau Island you can find a well chopped guinea pig on ore. Every Denarau luxurious spa has different characters than Royal Sheraton and his contemporaneous Westin next door cousins, who shared the resort's amenities, the elegant and classy Sofitel, the laid-back fashionable Hilton and the ultra family-friendly Radisson Blu.
Denarau was a place we loved for what it is really good for - a secure and simple vacation in the spirit of a typical Filipino hostal full of westerly amenities. However simple and relaxing it is, there are some drawbacks to stay in Fiji's Denarau with children: The island of Denarau was constructed of mangroves.
There is no such thing as a snorkel spot and the bay ocean is not perfect for this. The only thing is the bay around the isle. In contrast to the glittering shores of the Mamanuca Islands or the wonderful ocean on the coast of corals, there were hardly any bathing or relaxing areas.
On the west side of the islands is the windier side, visitors living in these areas have a tendency to relax by the swimming pools or on the lawn above the stream. This artificial luxurious hotel is lacking the indigenous cultures and characters of other parts of Fiji. Holidays in Denarau cannot be described as visits to Fiji unless explored outside the produced isle. While it was great that we could cower to the Sheraton next to us to eat at the renowned restaurant of the famouslying Fish, the immediate vicinity of each of the resorts has the impression that we could have been anywhere.
Luxurious hotels are sitting side by side around the 2. 55 sq. km large islet. It' a little bit claustrophobic, a little bit surreal and empty of this remote feeling of the islands. However, when a family goes to Fiji's Denarau to soak up the summer heat and relax at the seaside centre, it's all a fall and bake is.
While most Denarau Villages can offer a full day dinner service, meals schedules or packs are usually not made. resorts and network are $30-40 AUD and snack bars $15-20 AUD. We love our embedding suites, which offered a complete living room with refrigerator, dish washer, crockery and tools for a single household.
There was a large lounge with a large dining room with a large dining room and a large terrace with a view of the swimming pools and a sleeping couch for the children. There was a large TV and large disc that used to occupy the lounge as well as the master suite and the free WIFI place, which could hold several units.
The children were thoroughly maintained by men and women employees for a face value of $10 FJD ($6.30) per three-hour meeting per kid and wanted to leave. Most of the children were outside the Blu Banana Kid's Club area, which offers a play area.
From time to time we caught our mad children on the turf in a three-legged run, threw balls on the shore or played crocodiles in a laze. This is a particular sport for children, where they dress in dresses in grassy dresses and have their faces decorated like soldiers, alternately holding a burning flare while they "Bula!
