Crusade 6 Days Bay of Islands

We spend our first overnight on Waiheke Island with a tasty supper from 7:30 pm. The Great Barrier is a rugged and charming haven with astonishing tales.

After supper we sails to the Bay of Islands. You' ll awake in the untouched and gorgeous Oke Bay, an anchoring place that will surely lure you to swimming from the back of the bays. This day you will be visiting the wonderful island of Motuarohia-Roberton, which you can discover in many different ways: snorkelling in the protected bay, kayaking in the bay or hiking to the historical Maori-Pa site.

The Bay of Islands - Cruise Overview

Bay of Islands is a paradisiacal paradise of islands in calm water full of sharks and other sea creatures. Boating trips to discover the picturesque islands are very much appreciated and offer something for every taste. Join an oceansafari to dolphin swimming, sailing a yachting trip, walking directly to an isle for a picknick, or go on a angling outing.

The Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where the Treaty of Waitangi was concluded in 1840. Have a look around Pompallier in Russell - a Roman Catholics missionary building made of mud. Stroll to Haruru Falls from Treaty Haus (approx. 6 km). Cruise to Cape Brett on either a quiet Hole in the Rock cruise or an exhilarating speedboat rip.

Cruisers will advertise for all land tours at Waitangi wharf. Situated on the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, it is only a 10 min walking distance. In Waitangi you can take free shuttle buses to the Paihia i-SITE Visitor Centre, which is less than 5 min by car or 2.1 km away.

There you can either discover the city of Paihia or take a brief boat ride to Russell. There are NZ$6 one-way and NZ$10 returns to Russell by boat every 20 min from 7am to 10pm/day. Several cruise liners also offer Russell. It is 50 meters (164 feet) from the delicate dock.
