When you don't want to take your own vehicle, simply use the Ferry Building ferry from Pier 2, which runs every half hour during midsummer. Pre-registration is not required on Fullers boats. Use the city centre parking lot (weekend specials) on Customs Street and use the island's buses, cabs and touring.
