Together with the master and the officer and the team of Noble Caledonia, our 70-man cabin crews strive to offer you the best possible adventure during your stay on board. Adapters for hair dryers, cell phone etc. are available at the reception on deck 3 amidships. They should be handed in at the reception at the end of the trip and are the possession of MS Caledonian Sky.
There is a sound system on board to inform passengers about all important information and activity during the trip. Notices will be made in all areas of the vessel and in all staterooms. On board there are 57 particularly roomy and well-designed staterooms. There are the following amenities in all cabins:
The pricelist can be found in the cab. If you wish a twin berth, please inform the reservation department or the reception. The booths are maintained by your companion every mornings and in the evenings when the bunks are folded down. Forward Suites - Castle Deck (Deck 2):
Both standard forward suites on the castle deck (deck 2) are 22. Caledonian Deck Superior Suites (Deck 3) 21. It is a US number, so calling to this number is billed at an overseas tariff. In your cab is a telephone that has an external line.
To use Wi-Fi, you will need to have your own notebook, tray, etc. and buy an online map that you can buy at the front desk. An itinerary of the next leg and all the information you need about the day's activity will be prepared on board and sent to your cabins every morning.
We serve our evening teas in the Caledonian Lounge. The room services are not available on board. On board, drinking and chlorination of drinking waters is guaranteed. The boat has an elevators, but no equipment for handicapped or handicapped people. No chairlift is on board and the boat is accessed via a passage.
Before the end of your trip, your expedition leader / tour director will give you details of the disembarking. Always make sure that you have inspected IN/OUT on the walkway when you leave the vessel in dock. MV Caledonian Sky has a barber who offers hairstyles and haircut. You can only make an appointment for your hairstyle on board by calling 300 from your cabins or at reception.
Every cubicle is fitted with a hair dryer located in the top right drawers of the chest of drawers. To keep up the standard of hygiene, you will find disinfectants at a number of locations around the boat, especially at the entrances to dining areas and near the passage. Washing services are available on board.
You will find linen sacks and a pricelist in the closet in your cab. No laundromats or hangers are available on board. There are no drying systems on board. Please inspect your stateroom before leaving the vessel to make sure you do not abandon anything. Any other objects abandoned on the vessel will be held on board for 1 or 2 cruise ships (whichever is the longer) and after this time, all uncollected objects will be handed over to a nearby charitable organisation in the nearest major harbour the vessel will visit.
Even if the receiving personnel will be pleased to send a letter on your name, they may not be able to do so immediately or in the harbour where you make such a claim. A physician is on board and the members of the flight crews are instructed in first responders. Cabins can be visited by the ship's physician.
Seasickness pills are available at reception and should be taken at least one hours before your trip. You will receive your payment early in the mornings. You will find message TV on your booth TV and you can also find everyday message broadcasts at reception and in the library.
Your ticket must be registered at the front desk soon after departure. To share a room with a colleague and request extra invoices, please contact the front desk. On-board rates are in British pounds. Passes are necessary to ease entry procedures at each harbour and will be handed back at the end of the trip.
Panorama Lounge - situated on deck 6. Libraries - Situated on the panoramic deck (deck 6 aft). You can exchange your own fiction with other fiction in the pocket book album. Encyclopaedias must not be taken off the vessel. Lido Deck - Situated on the bridge deck (deck 5 aft).
Gym - on the promenade deck (deck 4 aft). Caledonian Lounge - situated on deck 3 stern. The Cruise Director or expedition leader gives daily briefings in the Caledonian Lounge, which is equipped with several monitors and presentations devices. At night our piano player will play on board before and after supper.
There'?s a vault in every bedroom in the cupboard. Please be sure to take all objects out of the vault before leaving the vessel at the end of your trip. You will find a lifejacket in your apartment. It' important that you take certain security measures on board: - Ladies are recommended to mainly use low heel boots on decks.
Be sure to register and disembark on the gangways with the serving member of the cabin to make sure you are on board before cruising. MS Caledonian Sky provides a smoke-free cruising area. Tobacco is only allowed in the area provided for this purpose on deck 4 stern.
You can make free phone call to other booths using the same number. Pick up the receiver and select the car number. To make an external call, please verify at reception to obtain a pre-paid phone calling plan and directions. In case you have forgot something, e.g. tooth paste, please ask the reception, which offers a range of articles for sale.
In the interests of the passenger protection, no visitor is permitted on board the vessel. Sometimes bridge trips are also possible. When you visit the bridge, please be aware that this is a work area and sometimes your entrance may be limited. Alarm rings can be called at reception before 11 pm at 300.
The MS Caledonian Sky currently consumes 54,000 cylinders of a year. At the end of the trip, we ask you to keep the cylinders in your cab. You can fill the bottle from the faucet - the mains supply is drinkable - or from the Caledonian Lounge/WATERATION.
A little bit of bottle will be available upon your landing in your cab and can be refilled on demand. Be sure your hand is always free and agree to the help of the MS Caledonian Sky crews when embarking a tender / zodiac. No liability is accepted by Noble Caledonia for any error or omission and none of the equipment or characteristics of the ship described herein that are not expressly described in our ads and on your vacation bill as contained in your travel rate will be considered to be contained in your travel itinerary.
