Candidates have a high degree of linguistic competence and a multi-cultural background. Instructor candidates have a high degree of competence in the implementation of technologies in teaching settings. Teachers have adequate understanding and ability of the key approaches, research instruments and structure of the disciplines they teach and create study experience that makes sense to thematists.

Expertise in the Samoan languages, histories and culture: Teachers are proficient and adept at using the Samoan languages, histories and cultures as a reactive basis for education to promote the study process. Teachers are technically experienced and know how to use technologies to help teach and improve students' learn. Expertise in the diversity of students:

Teachers understand how pupils differ in their approach to teaching and create teaching options that are tailored to the different learner. Teachers maintain relations with schoolmates, partners, and agents in the wider fellowship to promote study and well-being for schoolchildren.

Teachers are reflecting practitioners who constantly evaluate the impact of their decisions and activities on others (students, teachers, and other experts in the study community) and proactively seek ways to develop their profession. The student must apply for admission to the B.Ed.-Programme.

The pupil should keep the mark "C" or better in all teacher training classes. Before being admitted to the B.Ed. The following classes are among the prerequisites for admission: Please note: For all final exam receivers of ASCII and AA, the prerequisites for the basic course are omitted; for exchange holders, the course is oriented towards equivalence.

A student can only enrol for 300 levels if all B.Ed. admissions prerequisites, including 100 and 200 levels, are met. You can only enrol for 400 levels once all 300 levels have been taken, with the exemption of ED 435. Prospective enrollment for ED 490 and ED 491B is subject to completion of all 300-400 levels classes necessary.
